Capcom attempt at a Medieval Fighting Game with RPG mechanics thrown in for the hell of it. Featuring an unheard-of roster of four playable characters. Red Earth sets itself apart from its competition with
clean visuals, unique mechanics (some being used at least as
inspiration in later cps3 games among others) and a surprising
fun-factor and balance for a tech-demo on a then new system. Red
Earth was the trailblazer of the cps3 and boasts some of the machine's
key features, wowing the arcade market of the '90s (we think, little to
no nico-nico footage has survived). So when you load up a Capcom game
and see a Kenji skin, or official artwork with Leo, fan art of Tessa on a
■■■■■ website, or some lunatic trying to sell Mai-Ling as a main remember this quaint game.
